    Tokenization of real estate and decentralized financial markets will become an alternative source of capital for real estate investors that operate in illiquid markets. However, despite the fact that real estate tokenization has been broadly discussed in the past years, there are today only a handful of successful tokenizations reported on the market.

    As the leading organization bringing together real estate professionals and blockchain specialists from all over the world, FIBREE has decided to partner with Blocksquare to launch the Real Estate Tokenization Challenge 2021, where the first three teams to successfully tokenize a real estate asset will be awarded with their own white-label real estate tokenization platform powered by Blocksquare — an award worth 3 x 50,000 EUR in licenses and services!

    The challenge

    Do you have what it takes to tokenize real estate? FIBREE is looking for individuals, entrepreneurs, teams, startups, SMEs and corporates who are ready to undertake the challenge to tokenize a single real estate property.

    What do we expect from you?

    - Learn about Blocksquare's tokenization process and take the lead
    - Connect with property owners in your region and explain how and why they should tokenize a property
    - Individuate, assess and analyse potential real estate properties
    - Receive consent and gather all required information from the asset owner
    - Proactively respond to challenges that might arise along the way

    What will Blocksquare provide?

    Blocksquare will provide challenge applicants everything required to learn about Blocksquare's tokenization infrastructure as well as everything to execute the tokenization of a single real estate asset, including but not limited to the following:
    - Blocksquare’s real estate tokenization Protocol provides a standardized method of digitizing the value of a single real estate property, either partially or in full.
    - Oceanpoint DeFi Protocol allows Blocksquare to lock-in real estate tokens and extract liquidity through compatible decentralized finance protocols (DeFi protocols).

    Application process

    **Individuals or teams can apply for the FIBREE Tokenization Challenge 2021 by registering using the online form. Applicants will be able to start the challenge on a first come first served basis, so we encourage anyone interested to apply as soon as possible and not wait until the closing date.

    When it comes to getting to market, we believe speed and agility of execution should be rewarded. Thus, the first three applicants to successfully tokenize a single real estate asset before October 15th, 2021 will be awarded as the winners of the challenge.

    The winners of the challenge will be awarded with their own white-label real estate tokenization platform powered by Blocksquare and access to the tokenization system. Each award package is worth over 50,000 EUR in licenses and services.As long as the tokenization is executed before October 15th, 2021, all applicants will have the ability to successfully conclude their tokenization project and deliver the service to the real estate owner even in case the winners have already completed their challenge.

    Applications have officially opened on April 5th, 2021 and will remain open until June 15th, 2021.
